CrDuring the first weekend in September 2024, Creek Angler’s Device had their first USA Pop Up at Blue in Green in Soho NYC. Quiet Mountain Cafe had the honor in being featured in the Pop Up. Quiet Mountain and Creek created special collaboration items for the event, and also brought along Mirra for the special event. For the Friday of the Event, Quiet Mountain Cafe and Mirra made special pour overs for patrons at Blue in Green, using these beans on this page.

Doinel Chilito
Dionel's farm, La Pradera, consists of 10 hectares, of which only 3 are planted with coffee; for this reason, his production is extremely limited, and therefore highly focused and intentional in practice. Dionel got into coffee production upon being given a small tract of land by his father, which he originally planted with trees of the caturra varietal. Within the last 7 years, however, Dionel has replaces these original trees with geisha—with great success, as is evident in this lot. Dionel works under the supervision and advisement of Filipe Trujillo and Ventola Coffee, in the interest of constant improvement and refinement of cultivation and processing methods.
This lot is comprised of geisha—the most prized varietal of coffee due to its absolutely exceptional quality, and particularly intense, even perfumed florality, sweetness, and clarity of flavor. Geisha is an Ethiopian heirloom varietal, having been first identified in the 1930s in the forests of Gori Gesha. The varietal first attracted global attention in 2005, when the Peterson family of Hacienda La Esmeralda in Boquete, Panama entered a lot of geisha grown on their estate into the Best of Panama competition, and won. Ever since, geisha has come to enjoy the status of the most lauded varietal of coffee in commercial cultivation, and is heavily represented among winning lots in Cup of Excellence competitions annually.
